GHSA rules training is required before parents can assist with officiating. This training is now available. Please take the time to complete the three rules clinics in order to receive your certification.

  • These clinics will remain open until August 17th.

  • The total time to complete all three clinics is ~45 minutes.

  • You must be certified or recertified each new school year.

  • Visit GHSA On-Line Rules Clinic Schedule for 2026-2027

  • The clinics are located under "Clinic Schedule for Officials." First-time users will need to create an account. You only need to select Centennial as the GHSA Member School, not any Associations.

  1. Volleyball Scorekeeping

  2. Volleyball Line Judges

  3. Volleyball Libero Tracking

  • Once completed, the provided certificates should be emailed or given to your team's coach.

  • Supplemental training materials and practice sheets are located here.

  • Some find it helpful to locate an online or televised match and practice using the sample sheets.

It is generally expected that the host team provides the three people at the desk and one line judge. The visiting team usually provides the other line judge. However, this is not always the case, so it is best to have parents prepared to serve in the addtional roles, if needed.

Finally, it's imperative that each family participates so that volunteering for these roles does not fall to the same small group of parents. Everyone should have the opportunity to watch their player from the stands. Thanks for your cooperation and understanding.
